Better sleep starts with understanding

Snoring, disrupted sleep, and daytime fatigue can have many causes. We listen, review your dental health, and discuss whether dental sleep care may help.

A medical clinician diagnoses or rules out sleep apnea. We can coordinate with your medical team when testing or treatment planning is needed.

Airway & Sleep FAQs

Can a dentist diagnose sleep apnea?

No. A medical clinician diagnoses or rules out sleep apnea, often using sleep testing. Our dental team can discuss your symptoms and coordinate dental care with your medical team.

How does an oral appliance work?

A custom-fitted oral appliance is worn during sleep and gently positions the lower jaw forward. If it is recommended, we discuss fitting, use, and follow-up.

Is an oral appliance an alternative to CPAP?

It may be an option for some people, including those who have trouble using CPAP. Your medical diagnosis, needs, and clinician’s recommendation determine whether it is appropriate.

What happens during an airway and sleep consultation?

We review your concerns and dental health, explain possible dental options, and discuss whether you need medical evaluation or coordination before treatment.
